What you'll be doing:
As the Assistant Accountant for IWE Corporate you will partner with the Technical Direction management teams ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful information is available to support business decisions.
We are looking for a strong communicator who works well with others and will be responsible for:
Producing accurate monthly management accounts for the Technical Direction teams and reporting results to the Technical Direction director, managers and the Financial Controller
Manage the TMS (Timesheeting process) for the Water & Energy Technical Direction teams
Produce quarterly presentations on Technical Direction Cost V Bud analysis including analysis on over/ under recovery for review with the FD and COO
Support PM's/ Ops teams by providing analysis on technical time/ costs
Assist in preparing forecasts and budgets in liaison with the Technical Direction teams and wider finance teams - providing support and advice where required
Support the wider IWE Corporate finance team with audit queries
Collaborate with other team members to complete balance sheet reconciliations
Collaborate with the finance team to assist with other ad hoc tasks
Key participant in continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for:
a part-qualified Accountant with management accounting experience
Strong technical proficiency with data analysis tools, particularly advanced Excel and Google Sheets as will be working with complex data sets - experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning would be advantageous
Demonstrates analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail in their work approach
Personable and comfortable liaising with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
