Location: Hybrid - Based in Darlington or Leeds (2 days in the office per week)
Salary: xc2xa332,000-xc2xa335,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Fixed Term 12 months
Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for your next challenge? We're looking for a data-driven part qualified person to join our Accounting team on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

What you'll be doing
You'll support monthly financial reporting across Nobia UK business units, posting journals, completing reconciliations, and preparing relevant monthly accounts. Specific areas of responsibility include:
Areas Covered:

• Fixed Assets
• Reports shared with stakeholders regarding current performance/commissions
• Sales and Cost of sales workings within each business unit.
• Stock reporting and provision calculations
• Rebates
• Property Costs (Rent, Rates Utilities
• Staff Related Costs (Payroll, Travel, Credit Cards, Mobile Phones etc.)
• Monthly reporting requirements to Head Office
• Manufacturing performance reporting & KPI's
• Logistics cost tracking and analysis
• Timely production of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items for area of responsibility.
• Liaising with auditors and other external stakeholders or statutory agencies.

Who we're looking for

• Experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role
• Advanced Excel skills (essential)
• Strong financial awareness and attention to detail
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Confidence working independently and to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• SAP knowledge (advantageous)
• Flexibility to support the finance team in various duties within the department

Qualifications:

• AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified
