C & D Foods is one of Europe's leading Own Label Pet food manufacturers producing a range of Wet and Dry Pet foods. C & D Foods has 7 production facilities across 6 Countries (Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands and the UK) and 2 sales offices (Germany and Italy). Our Driffield site it located in East Yorkshire, and is one of the major producers of dry Petfood for the business.

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to assist in various areas of the finance function to aid timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate must be part qualified or nearing towards the end of their AAT qualifications with an desire for excellence in the work they present. You will be required to travel to our other UK site as part of your ongoing development and training from time to time meaning you are learning from and working with a multi-skilled team.

The main job duties are;

Costing new products, analyse PPS weekly, standard costing as well as analysis of PPV. Prepare the monthly department spend reports and work with department heads to identify cost saving opportunities. Support on weekly accounts prep Support on monthly accounts prep including schedules and folder. Have an understanding of how to process AP and AR as an extra support. Be able to cover weekly KPI inputs and maintenance sheet Quarterly packaging tax returns Quarterly atradius returns Be able to cover weekly cashflow Complete Office for National statistic surveys Be familiar with statement recs Support with cashbook postings
