KCR Solutions are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Gateshead to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This role is an exciting opportunity for an AAT-qualified professional looking to progress towards CIMA and grow within the position.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Extract and analyse financial data to aid planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, mid-year reviews, forecasts, and cost reports. Support month-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS. Maintain and improve internal financial controls in line with company requirements. Assist with statutory reporting and taxation documentation. Provide accurate financial data and insights to management teams. Play a key role in the annual budgeting process, working closely with the finance team.

About You:

AAT-qualified, with ambitions to pursue CIMA certification. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. Excellent time management and organisational abilities. Effective communication skills to present financial insights. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to grow within a dynamic team environment.
