The Role:

As

Assistant Accountant

you will provide an effective accounting management service to Deli Lites to include all areas of accounting, banking, cash-flow and liaising with external bodies

Duties:

Assist with the preparation of all management information, to include daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports and identify trends and generate insights into same. Assist the management account in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including the maintenance of supporting schedules and preparation of associated journals, including but not limited to Rebates, Fixed Asset Register and HP Schedules. Preparation of Group subsidiary accounts on monthly and annual basis. Being responsible for the timely administration of various grants the company may have access to, such as completing claims submissions and audit enquiries. Timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and other regulatory returns Various other related tasks and projects to support the company's management teams.

Required Skills and Competencies

+2 years experience working in a finance team, preferably in the manufacturing industry Accounts Technician qualifications or equivalent preferable Good academic results in Mathematics and English Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, especially in Excel An interest in business and commerce Strongly motivated with good initiative Strong communication and organisational skills.
