Job Summary



To support the Capital Accountant in preparing and reconciling financial management information on the Trust's capital programme to allow timely and accurate monitoring of expenditure, income and cash flow. To develop and lead the process of ensuring the correct split of expenditure between capital and revenue is applied. To prepare information regarding capital purchases and disposals and support the processes underpinning the operation and maintenance of the Trust's Asset Register. To support the annual asset verification reviews of the Trust Asset Register, in conjunction with other directorate to ensure its accuracy. To produce and reconcile information from the Asset Register to assist in the production of financial returns and accounting statements. To support the periodic Estate revaluation exercises, ensuring outcomes are accurately reflected on the Trust's fixed asset register. To support the Deputy Capital Accountant in the identification and management of lease arrangements, providing input into capital planning issues and the approval/delivery of new or extended leases. To co-ordinate the necessary activities required to ensure VAT adjustments in relation to the Trust's Capital Programme are accurate, valid and timely. To provide management accounting support to the Estates and Informatics Directorates as required.
