Full-time Assistant Accountant role in Portlethen supporting finance operations, including accounts preparation, reconciliations, and reporting. Requires HND in Accounting, strong Excel skills, and relevant experience. ERP knowledge desirable. Ideal candidate is detail-focused, organised, and communicative, with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting with management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, along with related reporting for the designated entity.
  • Delivering month-end balance sheet reconciliations to the Management Accountant for review.
  • Producing and submitting weekly and bi-monthly cash flow forecasts to Treasury.
  • Assisting with monthly processes such as accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, and foreign currency revaluations.
  • Updating and reconciling the fixed asset register.
  • Generating and following up on internal reports, including customer trends, sales margins, departmental costs, and overtime tracking.
  • Managing intercompany customer and vendor accounts, including reconciliations, payments, and reporting at month-end.
  • Preparing and submitting royalty declarations.
  • Reviewing and closing work orders in a timely manner.
  • Issuing ad hoc invoices, including monthly recharges.
  • Supporting corporate responsibility reports, including ethical and emissions-related reporting.
  • Posting miscellaneous cash transactions as required.
