We're a small, friendly, and growing accountancy practice in Grimsby, looking for a
reliable and motivated
Assistant Accountant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is not only confident and consistent but also looking to

About the Role:
This is more than just an assistant role -- you'll play a pivotal part in the
day-to-day running of the office
, with scope to get involved across all areas of the practice. You'll work closely with the Practice Accountant and have the opportunity to develop your skills across a diverse client base, including bookkeeping, VAT, self-assessment, and limited company accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading on
client onboarding
and maintaining accurate client records
Help oversee compliance, policies and procedures
General admin tasks: letter writing, scanning, post, and data entry
Completing
bookkeeping
and
VAT returns
Preparing accounts and
self-assessment tax returns
Using a range of accounting software and systems
Bringing new ideas and helping us improve our systems and services
About You:

Strong administrative skills
Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
Not afraid of using and implementing software
Qualifications
AAT L3 or ICB Qualified as a minimum or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
