Assistant Installations Engineer

We are a small but growing family run business located in Bridport. We specialise in the sale and installation of high quality reconditioned Agas; Aga refurbishment services and fuel conversions and the servicing and maintenance of Agas.

We have recently opened our Bridport showroom and are now offering conventional range cookers in addition to our core Aga product range.

We require a self-motivated individual to join our small team, assisting in the refurbishment, electric conversion and installation of Agas. The majority of time will be spent on site in client's homes with occasional workshop time. The role involves a significant element of travel throughout the South of England and beyond, including occasional overnight stays.

Flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given but a practical and hands on approach and a background in a trades industry would be advantageous. We encourage progression throughout the team and welcome an ambitious collaborative approach.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Dismantling / installation of Agas on site Conversion of Aga and Rayburn cookers to Electric on site Preparing Agas for installation. Refurbishment works to Agas and Range Cookers Maintaining records and documentation

Requirements:



Essential



Full UK driving license Self-motivated and driven Versatile and adaptable - as a member of a small business, your role will be varied, you will need to be able to meet any given challenge. A good team player - you will work closely with your colleagues in a small team, everyone has a key role to play Exceptional customer service skills. Tidy and professional appearance. Practical mindset and willingness to adapt and learn new skills An appreciation of the demands of a high-end clientele - being accommodating and going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. An excellent problem solver with good attention to detail

Advantageous



Experience of working within a similar small business. Knowledge of Aga / Rayburn / Wood burners, Heating and Plumbing or similar services. Mechanical engineering experience or other similar trades experience Experience with oil, gas or electrics

28 days holiday (including bank holidays).

1 additional day holiday for every year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days.

The role comprises a minimum of 40 hours a week over 4-5 days

Salary: 27,500

The roles involves a significant element of travel throughout the south of England and beyond, including overnight stays. We also serves as international clientele with the opportunity of travel in the USA and Europe for the right candidate.
