Our strategy is simple - We want to solve the challenges we have today as well as find answers to some of our industry's bigger long-term challenges.
Are you passionate about data and driving positive change in wastewater network management? Our Tactical Asset Planning (Investment planning) team are working day in day out to make it happen. If you want to do more because you care, we'd love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.
With that in mind, we're looking for an Assistant Asset Engineer to help us unify and optimise our tactical asset planning. This cross-cutting role offers a unique opportunity to contribute across various facets of our Collaborative Tactical Asset Management (CTAM) approach, from solution development and asset management to sponsorship of initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
Do you have a blend of some of the relevant skills including Waste Networks Engineering, Data Analysis or Hydraulic Modelling? Are you adept at advanced data analysis and capable of utilising tools like Power BI to generate insightful reports? Can you contribute to the development, execution, and monitoring of project plans while thinking holistically about asset performance and risk? Or perhaps you have relevant experience with a degree in Engineering, a Scientific, or an Environmental Discipline?
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Asset Engineer to join our newly re-structured CTAM team within the Tactical Asset Planning function. This role is crucial in supporting our shift towards a unified, data-driven approach to asset management in waste networks.
As an Assistant Asset Engineer, you'll play a central role in bringing together diverse perspectives and information to make informed decisions about our asset investments. You'll contribute to the development and implementation of our tactical asset planning strategy, helping us move from siloed decision-making to a truly integrated system that prioritises interventions, optimises resource allocation, and enhances overall network performance.
This role is within the wastewater networks infrastructure element of the Severn Trent Value Chain and you'll support the Tactical Asset Planning Manager and Senior Asset Engineers. You'll be responsible for conducting research, analysis, and overarching project management of financial, risk, and project-related data to ensure the best information is available for key investment decisions (technical, financial, and commercial feasibility). You'll be instrumental in enabling the team to produce optimal lifecycle decisions, ensuring our assets are fit for the future.
We're wanting someone to come into this role to analyse and identify potential problems to enable the team to produce the best life cycle decisions to ensure our assets are fit for the future.
