We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated

Assistant Baker

to support our daily bread and pastry production. If you enjoy hands-on work, care about quality, and want to learn proper craft in a calm, supportive kitchen - we'd love to meet you.

This role is ideal for someone looking to

develop their baking skills in a healthy, well-structured environment

. You'll work closely with our Head Baker and pastry team, supporting production and learning the standards that keep everything consistent and high quality - without the pressure and burnout found in some traditional bakeries. We believe great craft and balanced, enjoyable work can (and should) go hand in hand.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting daily bread and pastry production, including mixing, shaping, laminating, and baking Assisting with preparation tasks such as scaling ingredients, folding dough, and tray setup Helping maintain consistency in recipes, fermentation, shaping, and bake quality Operating commercial bakery equipment under guidance (mixers, deck/convection ovens, proofers, etc.) Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and food-safety compliant Working closely with the wider bakery team to ensure smooth production and service
Who We're Looking For

Some experience in a commercial bakery or food production environment (training provided) A strong work ethic and willingness to learn proper baking techniques Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Reliable, organised, and able to follow processes and instructions Comfortable with early starts, as standard for bakery life
