About Us:

The Three Horseshoes is a welcoming and well-loved pub in the heart of Henley. Known for its great atmosphere, quality drinks, and friendly service, we pride ourselves on creating a true community pub experience. We're now looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team and support the day-to-day running of the pub alongside the landlord.

The Role:

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of customer service, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with a passion for hospitality, who thrives in a busy, social environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the landlord with the day-to-day management of the pub Support with staff supervision, training, and rota management Help ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and hygiene regulations Oversee opening and closing procedures Handle cashing up and basic admin tasks Ensure high standards of service are maintained Step in when the landlord is off-site
What We're Looking For:

Aged 21 or over (due to licensing laws) Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or assistant management role Strong leadership and communication skills A hands-on, can-do attitude Reliable, honest, and able to handle responsibility Passionate about providing great customer experiences Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends
