ASSISTANT BAR MANAGER

experienced Assistant Bar Manager

to join our team. The candidate

must have experience in a quality high volume restaurant or hotel

and will ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times, strive to consistently exceed customer expectations, whilst always leading by example.

Responsibilities include

Alongside the Bar Manager ensure bar margins are maintained in line with budgets.
Ensure the GP, yields and stock holding targets are met.
Assist in the preparation of daily/weekly reports as required.
Lead and manage the bar staff on a daily basis, communicating targets and taking responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of quality in line with Management goals and objections.
Conduct briefings and training sessions to ensure that all staff have strong product knowledge and are able to up sell and deliver service to the high standards we require.

To assist the Bar Manager to ensure accurate stock takes are carried out according to company policy.
To assist the Bar Manager to coordinate and control all aspects of stock deliveries and keep accurate and up to date records.
Maintain a professional image for the Bar, including high standards of cleanliness, uniform standards and appearance whilst ensuring all the Bar team maintain these high standards.
Ensure an exceptional level of customer service is offered to every customer. Monitor and evaluate customer service, initiating improvements where needed.
Build ongoing relationships by effective communication and engaging with each customer.
In the absence of the Bar Manager to handle any customer complaints for the Bar by investigating and resolving each complaint, ensuring the customer will return.
To put forward new ideas for service and products to maintain a competitive and leading edge.
To communicate effectively with, and cooperate/assist other departments at all levels as and when necessary.
Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Italian Wine knowledge is Bonus!

The Assistant Bar Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the bar in line with the Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager and Managing Director's instructions, ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining an exceptional standard of service and professionalism whilst achieving profitability on budget.
The Assistant Bar Manager reports to the Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager and Managing Director.
