Assistant Bar Manager

to join our dynamic team.

The Role

As Assistant Bar Manager, you'll play a

key hands-on role

in the smooth running of the bar, events, and match days. Working closely with the management team, you'll support daily operations, lead staff on shift, and ensure that every guest enjoys exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day bar operations during sports fixtures and events. Supervise, motivate, and support front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service. Ensure all food and drink orders are delivered accurately and efficiently. Assist in the

setup, running, and breakdown

of events and match days. Liaise with the kitchen and events teams for seamless service. Confidently

cash up tills

, reconcile takings, and lock up the venue. Assist with

stock ordering

,

deliveries

, and

rota planning

. Ensure compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations. Step in to support the kitchen team when required.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a busy bar, hospitality, or events environment. Confident in cashing up, locking up, and leading a team. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Strong customer service focus and ability to thrive under pressure. Flexible, hands-on approach with

good weekend availability

.

Desirable:

5 years supervisory experience.

Experience in sports or event venues. Personal Licence holder. Knowledge of stock control systems and rota planning.
