working 37.5 hours over 39 weeks per year, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Catering Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of catering operations at Star King Solomon school. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food preparation, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in hospitality, culinary arts, and team management to lead our catering team and uphold the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Support the Plan, organised, and oversee catering events, ensuring all client requirements are met to a high standard Supervise kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality and presentation standards Manage food production schedules, inventory control, and procurement of supplies Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards across all catering activities Develop menus in collaboration with catering manager, incorporating dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain excellent communication with clients to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within contract catering or education catering background. Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively Excellent organisational skills Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to catering services Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team management and motivations Familiarity with culinary techniques and menu development Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
