Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join our culinary team at Wells Golf Club in Somerset. This role is vital in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production that enhances our guests' dining experience while aligning with our club's welcoming values.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure timely service.

Supervise kitchen staff to maintain a productive work environment. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients. Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area. Provide training and support to new kitchen staff members. Foster a positive team atmosphere that aligns with our club's values.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as an Assistant Chef or similar role.

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.

Excellent supervisory and team management skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred. Good communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
