Position: Chef
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Hours: 30 hours per week, working 4 days per week (every Saturday & Sunday + 2 week days)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our catering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and delivering a high-quality breakfast, lunch and hospitality service for our clients/customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where creativity and culinary expertise are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of our breakfast and lunch service
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard and meets dietary requirements.
- Manage kitchen operations, including stock ordering.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and menu items.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring a high level of performance and safety.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a contract catering or similar environment.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A passion for food and a creative approach to menu planning.
- Relevant catering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds 706/1/2, or equivalent).

Pay: 20,607.60 per year
