About the Team:

The LM Re Claims Department is responsible for delivering effective and efficient claims handling, and monitoring expertise together with the provision of information and analytical support for the business, from initial notification to conclusion, establishing and monitoring appropriate reserves and making claims payments as required. This is done whilst having due regard to the principles of treating the customer fairly, the Conduct Risk appetite, and the Claims Charter and Code of Conduct.

About the Role:

As a client focused Assistant Claims Specialist for Reinsurance, you will be responsible for supporting the Claims team with their portfolio management and adjustment of claims emanating from a broad range of Reinsurance classes of business, from first notification of loss through to closure. The role reports directly to the Head of Reinsurance Claims.

Key Responsibilities:Working closely with the Head of Reinsurance Claims to deliver LM Re's strategic goals whilst promoting LM Re's core values. Assist the reinsurance claims team in London to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). Supporting the London reinsurance claims team with initiatives such as The Claims Feedback Loop, Key Broker Management and Key Client Management. Create, manage and improve business data and documentation using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Develop technical knowledge to ensure familiarity with all LM Re's Claims processes and procedures are followed and be able to proactively identify process improvements and be able to move them forward. Attend in person and virtual meetings with internal stakeholders where input from the Claims perspective is required. Build and maintain effective business partnerships with external stakeholders to support and promote LM Re's strategic goals.. Skills and Experience:Proactive communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams across LM Re. Ability to forge positive relationships throughout all levels of the wider organisation as well as with external clients and brokers. Confidence to work independently as well as working collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to manage large data sets within Microsoft Excel. With training, ability to understand and interpret claims information including legal and expert reports. Familiarity with other Microsoft applications such as Word and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn how to use claims management technology tools. Enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to challenge.
