POST:

Assistant Cook

Prepare, cook and serve meals and beverages chosen by the service users, from the menu for the day. Staff must take into consideration any cultural or dietary needs of the service user. Store all food safely, rotating stock and keeping a check of 'use by' dates Observe staff refrigeration storage and temperature checks, recording them daily. Ensure that frozen foods are defrosted safely and in sufficient time to be cooked the following day. Follow kitchen hygiene regulations. Check and record temperature of food during cooking, at completion and before serving from the hot trolley. Carry out cleaning duties according to the rota and record completion appropriately.

ESSENTIAL

Capable of carrying out duties without impediment. Basic food hygiene certificate. First Aid Experience 2 years in a similar position.

DESIRABLE

First Aid Knowledge of COSHH.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
