About the role

Brighton and Sussex Medical School invites applications for the post of Assistant Curriculum and Assessment Manager (Phase 1).



The post is based at the Medical Teaching Building, on the University of Sussex Falmer campus, Brighton. The post-holder will play a key role in the delivery of the Medical undergraduate degree programme in years 1 and 2.



About you

The post-holder reports to the Curriculum and Assessment Manager but works closely with members of BSMS Faculty and administrative colleagues particularly those in the Curriculum Support Team. In addition, the post-holder will liaise with appropriate colleagues in other administrative and academic units in the parent universities, and colleagues in the partner NHS Trust.



Applicants should have a good standard of education and possess excellent IT, communication and organisational skills. The post requires a high level of personal responsibility and initiative.

If an individual's initial CoS was issued before 4 April 2024, then the salary requirement is 31,300 which means that the salary of the post at Grade 6.1 would meet the salary requirement for continued sponsorship.



However if this is not the case, then the salary requirement is 41,700, which means that the successful candidate would need to use tradeable points to lower the salary requirement. Whether the post is sponsorable then depends on the individual circumstances, as well as the offered salary.
