Salford City Academy has an exciting opportunity to appoint an Assistant Curriculum Leader of English. We wish to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher who can make a significant contribution to the English Department on their journey of sustained improvement.
The English Department
at Salford City Academy has achieved strong outcomes, with results improving year on year. In 2024, the English Department achieved outcomes for English Literature that were above national average and outcomes that were in line with national average for English Language. This journey of improvement continued into 2025, with outcomes for both English Literature and English Language demonstrating further significant improvement.
The English team at Salford City Academy is an exciting team to join, with the department recently being recognised with the Academy teamwork award. The department structure benefits from excellent leadership with experienced Co-Heads of Department along with a further TLR holder with responsibility for KS3. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, supportive, and experienced team with improving the life chances for our students at the core of their values.
