We are a co-educational specialist day school for pupils aged 7 to 16. With autism and/or ADHD as a primary need, our pupils are likely to have co-occurring social, emotional and communication difficulties and other associated needs which may affect their wellbeing and enjoyment of learning. The Role



This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new school school assisting with the preparation and serving of an inclusive menu ensuring that the diverse needs of pupils and staff are met. Core services will include breakfast, lunch and break time snacks.

Working as part of a small team your daily tasks will mainly consist of:

food preparation and cooking general kitchen duties maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters keeping them looking attractive throughout the service time allergen control serving, clear down and cleaning assisting with inventory management putting away deliveries
This is a full time (40 hours per week) position working for 39 weeks per year (we follow the Surrey term dates plus 5 INSET days). Consideration will be given to requests for part time working with a minimum of 30 hours per week over 5 days.

You



You will be an experienced assistant chef or kitchen assistant, ideally with an education or B&I background and will have a good understanding of health and safety and allergen management. You will share our passion for ensuring that each pupil is recognised as an individual and treated with respect. Good communication skills are essential.

Salary and Benefits



On a full time (40 hours per week), 39 week working arrangements you can expect to be paid up to 26,000 per year. We operate a contributory pension plan and the opportunity for a school provided lunch. A shuttle service (core hours) Dorking station will be available.
