Why we love living and working in North East Lincolnshire
We're different in North East Lincolnshire. We have a strong sense of community and a drive to make life better. Your earnings go further here with some of the best value house prices in the country, short commutes and great schools.
Founded by Vikings, our area has a rich seafaring heritage and is now a global leader in food production and renewable energy. We're home to the world's largest offshore windfarm and people from every corner of the globe visit here to see how it's done.
Here's five more reasons why we love it here:
-------------------------------------------------
Your earnings go further
- House prices are four times lower than in London and nearly half the national average. You could own a spacious home - even with a pool - for the price of a modest family house in the South East.
We all work near the beach
- With beautiful landscapes and a spectacular natural coastline, you're never far from fresh air and open space.
Global icon
- Grimsby's world-famous Dock Tower is celebrated in miniature at Legoland Windsor, and the docks are a popular filming location for film and TV.
Excellent education
- 87 per cent of schools are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.
Short commutes
- Less travelling time means more time for what matters most.

We regularly review data to ensure our recruitment processes are fair, transparent and promote equal opportunities for all. We also have an in-house Equalities Champions Group that works to promote and embed inclusivity in the workplace, helping us identify areas where we can take positive action, and make the organisation a safe space for colleagues to feel connected.
