Responsibilities
Estimate work value from site visits, architectural drawings, and specifications
Assist in obtaining budget quotations and guide prices for specialist work
Undertake take-offs from architectural drawings (manual and digital) for roads, sewers, foundations, and external works
Support residential construction projects, with occasional input into small works
Research costs for materials, labour, equipment, and transport
Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Source quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors within set timeframes
Help prepare and submit quotations and cost analysis to the Lead Estimator
Interpret and understand architectural and engineering plans and specifications
Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in day-to-day operations
Qualifications
Essential
: GCSE Grades: A to C or 5/6 to 9 in Maths, English and ICT.
Desirable
: A recognised Civils/Engineering/Construction qualification. HND/HNC or higher, training will be provided for the right candidate.

Desirable:
Previous experience in construction or estimating (preferred but not essential)
