This is a full-time role for an Assistant Estimator, located in Tonbridge. The Assistant Estimator will be responsible for supporting the estimation process for various civils and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day tasks include quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, analysing project specifications, and assisting other Commercial department members in bid preparation. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, liaising with clients and subcontractors, and updating tender registers.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in preparing cost estimates
Proficient in quantity take-offs and familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
Ability to read and interpret project specifications and technical drawings
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and organisational skills
Knowledge of the construction industry and relevant regulations
Construction or Civils based qualifications is preferred
Experience in estimating within the civil engineering or construction industry is a plus, but training/familiarisation will be provided
