Abbeyfield East London Extra Care Society is a leading provider of non-medical, on-site medical care to the Dagenham community. We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join our team of professionals to provide facility maintenance and repair services. The ideal candidate will have experience with general maintenance and repair, carpentry, painting, and minor electrical work. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager and interact with patients, patients' family members, staff, visitors, vendors, government agencies and the general public. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

Your main job role will be the upkeep of all garden areas on site.

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of facilities in accordance with health codes and regulations
Maintain equipment in good working order
Perform general facility maintenance such as painting, carpentry, electrical wiring, etc.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and follow up with complete detail of completed tasks
Respond to emergency requests for assistance during regular hours or when working hours are altered due to emergencies or other delays in the schedule.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of facilities in accordance with health codes and regulations.
Maintain equipment in good working order.
Perform general facility maintenance such as painting, carpentry, electrical wiring, etc.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required College degree preferred (Preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
