The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Finance & Admin Manager to support the Head of Finance in all day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role that combines core finance duties with admin and payroll support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
Perform Bank Reconciliations and ensure accuracy across all bank accounts
Process and review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices
Complete and manage Supplier Forms and ensure compliance with onboarding procedures
Handle Certificates of Residency and liaise with relevant authorities or suppliers
Maintain and manage the Accounts email inbox, ensuring timely responses
Responsible for fixed asset management, including tracking, recording, and coordinating the physical transfer of assets such as laptops and office equipment
Assistance with month end process / management accounts as required
Payroll & HR Support
Prepare Payroll Data, including commission calculations and variable pay elements
Collaborate with HR consultant to ensure accurate employee records and payroll inputs
Assist with ad hoc HR-related tasks as required
General Support
Provide day-to-day assistance to the Head of Finance across all operational areas
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and cross-departmental collaboration
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a finance role with exposure to payroll and HR administration
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
Discreet and professional when handling sensitive HR and payroll data
What we offer
Salary Competitive, dependant on experience
Hours/Location: Hybrid working (commutable to Manchester office quarterly) / 37.5 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 1 extra day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days.

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
