, reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, to provide support to key Group Functions by providing robust analysis of the month end and project related costs, driving insight driven discussion and challenge with the key stakeholders.
This role would be based at our Whitley, Yorkshire office working on a hybrid basis.
What will you be doing in this role?
As our
Assistant Finance Business Partner
, you will support the Finance Business Partners across the Group Finance Business Partnering team who play a key role in supporting decision making throughout the Group.
You will help with the production, development and automation of the month end process with a key focus on driving insight and action from the output. Driving the analysis and understanding of our Tunstall Technology product development, helping to ensure we continue to utilise our resources efficiently is vital to the success of this role. This will have elements of month end activity but is not purely a transactional month end focused role and will require someone who is a self-starter, proactive and with the ability to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders.
The Ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role you will be studying towards or have an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent qualified experience. You will have some proven experience within a commercial finance team doing financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, working in the month-end process and with demonstrable success of building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong analytical skills and be highly proficient in the use of Excel. With a customer focused, proactive approach, you will be a natural collaborator, with a results driven and commercial mindset.

Some of your key tasks will be...
Ensure the accuracy of the month end management accounts across a number of the Group Operation cost centres, ensuring accuracy of the accruals and prepayments on a timely basis with a focus on understanding performance drivers,
Support the transition of month end activities through to the Financial Shared Services team,
Monthly reporting to non-financial leaders with a real focus on insight driven challenge and support, to ensure we maximise our resources, identifying and highlight any risk or opportunities,
Help the development of the project reporting with a focus on:
+ Project Spend and time utilisation,
+ Milestone tracking,
+ Investment appraisal support,
+ Post implementation reviews. Undertake analysis of key focus areas to build understanding of the spend areas, generating insight from financial/non-financial information to inform business action,
Help support the development of a suite of KPI's,
Support in any budgeting and forecasting activities,
Manage the stakeholder group.
Key skills and experience:
You will be studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA, post qualified, or have a relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience,
Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively,
You should be a good problem solver with great attention to detail,
