We are seeking a proactive and driven Assistant Finance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director across all financial activities.
The Role
As Assistant Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director to manage the day-to-day financial operations across multiple businesses. This is a hands-on role with exposure to every aspect of finance in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting across the group
Supporting cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions
Assisting with payroll and VAT returns
Helping to implement and improve financial systems and processes
Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and stakeholders
What We're Looking For
Part-qualified or newly qualified in Finance and/or accounting, or equivalent experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Previous experience in construction or subcontracting is advantageous, but not essential
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple businesses
A hands-on, adaptable, and ambitious approach
