Our client is a leading UK developer and operator of hydropower projects, responsible for the operation and maintenance of over 50 schemes.

They are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their team in Perth, This is a newly created role designed to evolve alongside the business, offering the opportunity to take on a broad range of finance and administrative responsibilities as they continue to grow.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with the Head of Finance & Administration and the wider finance team, supporting both their own operations and a portfolio of client hydropower schemes. The role covers core finance activities--such as invoicing, accounts management, VAT returns, and monthly reporting--as well as supporting audits, tax affairs, regulatory compliance, and funder relationships. There is also scope to contribute to company secretarial duties, board reporting, and insurance renewals.

As the business evolves, you'll have the chance to take on additional administrative duties and help shape the role to fit emerging needs.

What We're Looking For:

A professional accountancy qualification (or equivalent experience). Experience in finance management, company accounts, and regulatory compliance. Working knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., FRS102), consolidation, and best practices in governance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and ideally Sage. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A flexible, proactive approach--comfortable working independently, as part of a team, and adapting to changing priorities. High standards of confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail.

Pay: 28,000.00-40,000.00 per year
