We're looking for an Assistant Finance & Reconciliation Accountant to support our finance team with daily reconciliations, reporting, and accurate financial record-keeping. You'll play a key role in ensuring transactional integrity across multiple systems, working closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. Ideal for someone with strong Excel skills, a methodical approach, and a passion for problem-solving. We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Finance Department as a - Assistant Finance & Reconciliation Accountant on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:


Studying for Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification Detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Assistant with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting. Seeking to utilize skills and knowledge to support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Proficient in financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Skilled in using accounting software and Excel to analyse data and support the finance team in daily operations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of basic accounting principles, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills, familiarity with accounting software. Proactive and hardworking, ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills and attention to detail. Positive, flexible enthusiastic and driven. Good literacy and numeracy skills. Experience of working in a busy finance team including processing transactions, performing reconciliations and producing analyses of financial transactions.
