Salary: 36,132 per annum plus excellent benefits



Hours: 35 hours per week. We are also 'Happy to Talk Flexible Working'



Contract Type: Permanent



Location: Hybrid working - a mixture of home and office working at our office in Speke, Liverpool.

What will your role be?




As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial management and supporting the smooth operation of the Finance team. You will contribute to a wide range of activities including treasury operations, asset and grant accounting, month-end processes, taxation and statutory reporting. This role offers the opportunity to maintain strong internal controls, manage banking and cashflow forecasting, oversee investments and loans and prepare essential regulatory returns.


You'll help ensure accurate asset records, assist with year-end processes, and produce insightful reports for senior management and committees, while providing valuable support across the wider Finance team.

Who are we looking for?




The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong academic foundations, including GCSEs in Mathematics and English (grade C/4 or above) and three A-Levels. You'll bring experience in financial accounting, particularly with fixed assets, and a solid understanding of general ledger postings and reconciliations. Excellent organisational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage conflicting deadlines. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Office suite, are required, alongside outstanding verbal and written communication.
