Assistant Gardener / Landscaper
Job Description
Assistant Gardener/Landscaper required who have good all round gardening/landscaping skills with the ability to carry out all gardening/landscaping duties.
Duties Include:
Mowing, Strimming, Hedge work, Leaf clearance and cutting back
Plant knowledge, Plant maintenance
Safe use and care of power tools, equipment and machinery
Hard landscaping (laying paving, kerbs, brickwork etc)
Some labouring duties
Landscape construction - hard and soft landscape
Soft landscaping construction work including - woodland maintenance, planting of trees, shrubs, beds and borders; seeding, turfing, practical gardening tasks, pest and disease control, weed control.
The Ideal candidate:
Experience in a similar role
A good knowledge of plants and shrubs and the routines of pruning, propagation, preparing and weeding beds and lawn care is essential.
Interest in landscaping and horticulture
Self-motivated and good work ethic
Physically fit
Good interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic
Willing to work in all weathers.
Key Requirements:
Full driving licence required with own transport due to location of property
Reference required
Hours: 40 hrs/week at 12.21/hour (depending on experience)
Regular year round work, hours based on seasons includes Saturdays (Sunday plus 1 week day off)
