The Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful operation of our establishment, ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly and efficiently. The Assistant General Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties
Assist the General Manager in daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory control.
Supervise and train staff to ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas to meet health and safety regulations.
Implement training and development programs for team members to enhance skills and performance.
Assist in budgeting and financial management to achieve operational goals.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, hospitality, and exceptional customer service.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Skills
Proven experience in food service management with a focus on quick service or fast food environments.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, food safety, and handling procedures.
Experience with various POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Background in fine dining or casual dining establishments is preferred.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and develop a diverse team.
Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
Familiarity with kitchen management practices, including cooking techniques and food production processes.
Experience in shift management, supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and conducting performance evaluations.
