Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that both guests and staff experience the highest standards of service and hospitality. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in food preparation and culinary management, who can effectively supervise and lead a team while maintaining exceptional food safety and production standards.

Duties

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet our culinary standards. Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance. Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all kitchen areas are well-stocked and organised. Implement food safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Collaborate with the General Manager to develop menus and special offerings that align with customer preferences. Train new staff members in hospitality practices, food preparation techniques, and service excellence. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and culinary management. Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in food production processes, with an emphasis on quality control. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including barista skills or hotel experience being advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and guests alike. A passion for hospitality, coupled with the ability to deliver exceptional service consistently.
