Swanmore Golf Centre is looking to recruit an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our small team.

Swanmore Golf Centre is a picturesque 9 hole golf course in the heart of Hampshire with an 11 bay driving range.

This is a temporary position full time, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Approximately 25- 30 hours per week.
A flexible approach is required along with some weekend work, according to a rota system.

Immediate start.

The main duties include but are not restricted to:

Assisting the Head Greenkeeper in all aspects of greenkeeping, including: cutting all playing surfaces, changing holes, setting up golf course for daily play, Ensuring that the course is presented in the best possible condition to exceed the expectations of members and visitors Assisting with construction, aeration, and renovation works Able to safely operate a wide range of golf course machinery Undertake specific training on machinery and other working practices
The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

A strong work ethic, coupled with excellent time keeping A positive team player who has equal ability to work on their own Have an excellent attention to detail To always look for improvements and to work with care and consideration of equipment Complete tasks in line with Health and Safety regulations Relevant greenkeeping experience and qualifications are ideal but not essential Willingness to learn and improve their skills

Rate of pay 12.21 per hour @approx 25-30 hours a week, 52 weeks per year.
