Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role requires a combination of physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for landscape maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring that gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas are well-kept and inviting.

Duties

Perform groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns to maintain a neat appearance. Carry out landscape maintenance duties such as planting, weeding, and mulching to enhance garden aesthetics. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks including digging, building structures, and irrigating plants. Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation. Assist in the installation of irrigation systems to promote healthy plant growth. Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying any issues that may require attention or treatment. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with power tools and hand tools commonly used in gardening and landscaping is advantageous. A basic understanding of mechanical principles related to equipment maintenance will be beneficial. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential traits for success in this role.
