We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Arborist team. You will be part of a team of professionals responsible for providing an excellent arboriculture service. You will undertake skilled Arboriculture duties to ensure the safe, efficient and effective completion of works within industry standards. You will plant, maintain and remove trees and other woody plants using previous knowledge of tree anatomy and biology along with climbing and trimming skills.
You must be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, be computer literate, and have previous supervisory experience. If you have experience of undertaking tree surveys with the ability to draw up risk assessments, have previous experience in arboriculture including aerial rescue, tree climbing, pruning and planting, and hold a NPTC chainsaw proficiency certificate then we would welcome an application from you.
For the above post, you must be physically fit and prepared to work outdoors in all-weather conditions. You must also hold a full clean valid driving licence.

Essential
Experience of undertaking tree surveys with the ability to draw up risk assessments
Experience in Arboriculture, including tree climbing, pruning and planting
Good educational standard to GCSE level or equivalent
An NPTC Certificate in pesticide application
Supervisory experience in leading a team
Ability to complete and keep accurate up-to-date records
Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques and ability to carry out manual handling operations
Good communication skills and the ability to deal courteously and fairly with the public
Ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a team
Basic awareness of Health & Safety Regulations
Basic computer skills
Full clean valid driving licence
Desirable
A formal qualification, or a willingness to gain one, in Arboriculture
An understanding of the operations and functions of a local authority
Experience of working within a local authority dealing with tress/Arboriculture issues
Experience in the use of elevating platform/hoist equipment.
* A full LGV or HGV driving licence.
