We are currently looking for an Assistant Head Housekeeper to support our dedicated housekeeping team at the award winning, Lime Wood Hotel.


Lime Wood is a 33-bedroom boutique country house set in the heart of the New Forest National Park. It is laid-back 5luxury at its best, with Chefs Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder at the helm of the kitchen and a wellness spa within the grounds. About the role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Proactive and hands on approach, leading and supporting our Housekeeping Team from the front-line to deliver exceptional levels and standards of cleanliness across all areas of the Hotel. The cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities while collaborating with other hotel departments and directly supporting the Head Housekeeper
Deputising in the absence of the Head Housekeeper Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge and experience of hygiene, health and safety legislation and best practise Being a role model to the team and leading them in their day to day tasks and challenges Liaise with suppliers, maintaining excellent supplier relationships Maintain stock, overseeing stock control and ordering Acting as a departmental trainer to make sure all members of team are trained and aware of required standards and procedures. The ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment is important Knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS) and basic computer literacy are beneficial Work closely with the Head Housekeeper regarding team rota's, internal progression, and external recruitment Support the Head Housekeeper with overseeing the furnishings condition, fittings, and equipment. Making sure all is in good order, liaising and organising the Maintenance Team as/when required

About you:

Previous experience as an Assistant Head Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role is preferable. Please note, this role is a physically demanding role, requiring you to be on your feet throughout. Lifting and manoeuvring of furniture and heavy linens will be required. You must have a proactive and motivated attitude towards providing high standards of service and caring about the millions of little details that make us 5*.
