Assistant Head of Wellbeing

\xc2\xa332,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week

Ideally core hours between 8:30am and 5:00pm

Fixed Term to cover maternity leave

About the Role

  • You will support the Head of Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Health to ensure that Hartpury fulfils all of its statutory duties with regard to the wellbeing of children and adults.
  • You will work with both internal teams and external agencies.
  • You will provide practical support and assistance to staff raising concerns as well as delivering training workshops and awareness raising sessions.
  • You will have line management responsibility for some staff in the Wellbeing Centre and residential provision.
  • The role will cover the core hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. We can be flexible with start and finish times, around those core hours.
  • There is a requirement to work one evening shift per month.
About You
  • Be trained to a minimum in Level 3 Child Protection and Safeguarding.
  • Extensive experience of working with young people in an education setting.
  • Experience of managing a demanding case load and working with external agencies.
  • Passionate about supporting young people to succeed and overcome challenges.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
  • Have experience in the management of staff.
