We have a great new opportunity for an Assistant Housing Energy Efficiency Officer to join our Housing Standards team to improve energy efficiency and housing standards, contributing to the Council priorities and Net Zero 2030 commitment.
As part of the housing team, this role will advise on residential and social housing energy reductions and Net Zero pathways, by conducting energy audits, improving EPC ratings, metering and billing services, supporting retrofitting and community low carbon heating solutions, insulation and energy conservation, and lead on the application process for the Sustainable warmth grant, Home Upgrade Grant (HUG), ECO4, and securing new funding streams to address the cost-of-living crisis.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent contract. We offer hybrid working for this role with office-based working 2 days per week.

About You:
You will have good knowledge of domestic energy efficiency retrofit, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and technical guidance. You will have experience in a customer-facing role and working with multiple stakeholders, with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt to different audiences.
Additionally, you will be organised, highly confident in analysing data and information, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to contextualise complex data into practical action.
You will also need a full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel across the borough to conduct property inspections as required.
Selection Process:
