Win as a team
We are currently recruiting for Assistant Underwriters to join our established eTrade Underwriting team in Glasgow.
Your role will involve working 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The first 6 months will be office based and you will be part of a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be able to build a career within insurance. Once competent within the role you will benefit from our hybrid working model.
You'll make an impact by:

  • Work with Insurance Brokers across the UK underwriting various insurance policies
  • Drive excellent customer service with brokers and looking to resolve situations in the 1st contact
  • Managing inbound calls, Live Chat, Post and emails from brokers in line with your underwriting licence
  • Working with your technical coach on complex and non-standard risks that are outside of your authority
  • Be focused on your continued development and therefore generating profitable results for the company
Your skills and experience:
  • Previous experience within a customer service environment. This could be (but not limited to) financial services, retail, care industry, insurance)
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy and fast-paced environment
  • Have a genuine desire to help customers, with the ability to listen, understand their needs and provide the best solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
