Grade 4 starting at 25,733 to 29,179 per annum, pro rata if part time. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.###

About the role



You will be joining a desktop support team in IT Services comprising of nine people, primarily based on campus, and provide an excellent experience for both staff and students.


You will work closely with the Help Desk and a number of service specific areas within IT Services to rollout, maintain, resolve issues and support users in the use of a very wide ranging and set of ICT services.


You will contribute to the Incident Management and Service Request fulfilment processes and first stage Problem Management process.



About you



The post holder is expected to have a good understanding across a broad range of ICT disciplines and will actively contribute to the day-to-day delivery and support of a broad range of ICT Services directly to specific schools, divisions or projects, with suitable related work experience

Led by our Chief Digital Transformation Officer and his Leadership team, we are now embarking on an ambitious programme of change. Over the coming years, this digital transition will be an ever-developing programme supported by senior stakeholders both financially and strategically. This University will be a very different world in years to come and aspires to achieve levels of performance and digital delivery yet unseen in the sector.



All of this is underpinned by major construction and estate renewal, an exciting programme of work to add thousands of accommodation spaces, and a network replacement project to install the latest digital infrastructure as part of the journey towards a fully data-enabled organisation.
