Role Summary:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with month-end reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual eager to develop their accounting skills within a fast-paced, product- and project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the production of monthly management accounts in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
Conduct variance analysis and cost tracking across various departments, including operations, projects, and materials.
Support the creation of weekly cash flow forecasts to promote favourable financial movements.
Perform key control reconciliations and provide critical supporting information.
Analyse and interpret financial data to generate insightful reports for colleagues.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Ensure financial systems, policies, and working instructions are continually updated.
Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes.
Aid in audit preparation and address financial inquiries from internal teams.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or part-qualified in AAT, ACCA, or CIMA, or qualified by experience.
Proficient ICT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial controls.
Prior exposure to construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries.
Desirable Attributes:
Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or Lucanet is a plus.

Excellent ability to manage workflows involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Results-driven with a keen attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Strong analytical skills coupled with self-motivation.
