The Role (35,000 to 40,000 DOE)
Reporting into the Finance Director and being an integral part of the finance team, you will own the preparation of management accounts, Factory reporting & variance analysis, manage and support the Accounts Assistant and assist with Budgeting & Forecasting. You shall also ensure accurate and efficient processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
This is a crucial role in managing the business' finance and helping make informed commercial decisions.
Role Responsibilities
Support & Cover in absence, Accounts Assistant key tasks. (Sales Ledger, AP, Credit Control)
Management of Invoice Factoring facility
Variance analysis & discrepancies investigation
Processing of Weekly and Monthly Payroll
Daily, weekly & monthly Management Reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations & supporting schedules
Maintain & update fixed asset register
Preparation of the monthly management accounts
Support the finance director with the preparation of year end statutory accounts & R&D submissions
KPI reporting
Cash flow forecasting
Support with budgeting & Forecasting Processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls & company policies
Assisting with any ad hoc tasks where required.
The Successful Applicant
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (preferred)
Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of month-end process and ledger management principles
Microsoft Excel Intermediate / Advanced
Strong attention to detail
Analytical and inquisitive by nature
Forward thinking/proactive
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience with working to deadlines.
