Assistant Management Accountant

Job Description

In your role as Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key part in ensuring the monthly financial close is completed on time and that all figures reported to the Group are both accurate and reliable.

  • Contributing to the billing process and supporting revenue recognition activities.
  • Assisting in the tracking and administration of fixed assets, including capital investments and lease agreements.
  • Helping to compile monthly accruals and manage prepayment schedules.
  • Managing intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate reconciliations.
  • Analysing overhead costs and providing insights into expenditure trends.
  • Supporting the entry and processing of both accounts payable and receivable invoices.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring correct allocation of incoming funds.
  • Preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Posting journal entries as part of the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and recommending system improvements.
  • Delivering financial insights and collaborating with both management and financial accountants, as well as cross-functional teams.

  • A degree in accounting or a closely related field is essential.
  • Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience in accounting, particularly with involvement in month-end processes within a corporate setting, is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and PivotTables, along with a basic understanding of PowerPoint, is necessary.
