We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team based in Leeds.



As an Assistant Management Accountant you will be supporting the Financial Reporting Accountant in the preparation, collation and reporting of monthly P&L and balance sheet. Ad-hoc data analysis and reporting on an ongoing basis to improve management information and share across the business.

Management Accounts preparation including key elements:




Prepayments. Accruals. Fixed Assets additions, disposals and depreciation. Fleet costs. Review and correction of invoice postings and cost centre allocations. Review of month end costs by contract and providing any resulting analysis. Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations. Ad hoc Financial reporting and analysis.



Responsibilities:




Monthly production of schedules and journals feeding into the management accounts. Monthly production of balance sheet reconciliations including variance analysis. Support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams on more complex transactions. Support to FP&A team and stakeholders with Fleet expense queries.



To be considered as an Assistant Management Accountant, you will need:




Studying for a professional Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1+ years of Finance work experience. Good knowledge of basic accounting concepts (debits and credits, trial balance, reconciliations, depreciation, P&L and Balance Sheet). Excellent computer and software skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products and financial software solutions. Excellent analytical ability and logical thinker. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic. Pragmatic problem-solver Confident communicator Flexible with a "Can do and will do" attitude
