South Beach/Continental Textiles have a new opportunity for an
Assistant Management Accountant
to join our team.
We are seeking a driven and detail-focused individual to join our dynamic finance team in a fast-growing, e-Commerce company. This is a key role in our finance function, responsible for overseeing accounts receivable operations, month end activities, and ensuring accurate, timely financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid finance background and a passion for streamlining processes and delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
We are happy to consider candidates who are QBE or currently studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar, who can demonstrate previous experience within an accounts department and be familiar with month-end reporting routines and ledger management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger Management:
Oversee the preparation and posting of all customer invoices.
Ensure customer invoicing is completed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor and manage the accuracy of data and adherence to deadlines and targets.
Account reconciliations and reporting. This is key area where this role can add real value to the business due to the opportunities for process improvements and efficient ledger management.
Lead credit control efforts by proactively chasing outstanding payments and managing aged debt.
Month end reporting:
Ensure month end timetables are met in line with deadlines and targets
Prepare journals, including accruals and prepayments.
Take ownership of Balance Sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Supporting the Finance Manager in the reporting and presentation of the month end accounts
Other areas:
System and Process improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvement, support system upgrades and automation initiatives
Support with Purchase Ledger as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
:
Prior experience working in an Accounts team
Experience of ERP financial systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities.
High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
A collaborative and team-oriented approach to working with internal and external teams.
Flexible, can-do attitude with an enthusiasm to learn
