Scope and remit
The Management Accountant will provide support to the Finance Manager in ensuring all aspects of the transactional finance requirements are met and play a key role in driving efficiencies through working closely with the operational team. This role will be, where possible, provided experience of tasks to support and supplement their accountancy qualification studies. It is an office-based role with scope for limited remote working.
Personal duties
Operational duties
Prepare monthly management accounts, posting journals including accruals and prepayments
Fixed asset register management
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Management of fleet, including fuel cards and insurance register
Prepare monthly CID reconciliation
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Support and implement improvement of reporting, systems and processes
Provide information for annual audit
Completion of monthly CIS return
Credit control, including active management of overdue debt
Credit checking of new customers
Bank reconciliations
Ensure all financial policies and procedures are adhered to
Prepare VAT returns
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
