We are recruiting for an ambitious Assistant Shop Manager to join our team and help us to deliver an amazing experience for the local community and sustainable shopper.

You will work 3 days a week (24 hours) including weekends on a rota basis.

Bring your enthusiasm and love for fashion to an ethical and sustainable industry and help us to maintain our success in our busy shop. You will be joining a friendly team who will support you to play your part in growing our retail income so we can continue to support patients across Buckinghamshire with life-limiting illnesses.

Job Purpose



To work with the Shop Manager, staff and volunteer team to engage support for FNHC from the community in Haddenham and surrounding areas, maximise sales and profits, and actively promote Gift Aid and the Hospice Lottery.

In the Shop Manager's absence, assume full responsibility for all aspects of managing the shop, and at all times positively promote and support the aims of the charity. Working as part of the FNHC Retail team, respond to the requirements of the FNHC Retail operation in order to maximise profitability and the smooth running of the shop.

Job Experience, Skills & Qualifications



Experience of supervising a team in charity or fashion retail. Demonstrable experience of working as part of a team to achieve sales targets in a customer facing retail environment. Experience of working with volunteers, and able to work positively with people of all abilities. Physically fit and able to lift and carry large quantities of donations of stock including waste and recycling on a daily basis.
